In a total of eight semesters, students are being offered a diverse curriculum covering a wide range of approximately sixty law courses (215 credit hours) in Arabic and English. Courses range from Civil Obligations, Torts, Commercial, Criminal, Procedural, Administrative, Labor, Tax to Sharia law. In addition, the curriculum offers a broad and carefully designed education in international law, including international organizations, ublic international Law, human rights law, international trade law, and international commercial abitration. Starting the 7th semester, electives allow for flexible course offerings depending on students’ interest. Most courses are accompanied by tutorials taught by the Law Faculty’s carefully selected and talented Teaching Assistants.
Beyond legal course, GUC students are required to take courses on research and drafting skills, Arabic, English and German language, Computer Science and Political Economics.
The LL.B. degree includes a Bachelor Thesis in the 7th and 8th semester, where students submit an independently written research paper outside the course work. Students are provided with a specific research seminar to learn standards of academic writing. Each student is assigned to a faculty member, who guides students throughout the process.
All GUC Students are required to conduct at least one internship during their undergraduate degree. Internship Guidelines:

Must be technical, not simply shadowing (clear tasks & job description)

Job shadowing, training academies, workshops, courses are not accepted

Duration of the internship required is 6 weeks, with a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks

At least one internship shall be done in 4 consecutive weeks

Working conditions (minimum 5 days/ week & minimum 6 hours/day)

Assigned tasks during the internship shall be related to the major (LAW)

Employer must complete GUC Internship evaluation form (sign it & stamp it) by the end of the internship (an official certificate can replace the stamp)
