GUC’s Faculty of Law and Legal Studies offers a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.), enables students to be admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association, the Egyptian Council of State, Egyptian Public Prosecution, Egyptian Administrative Prosecution and Egyptian State Lawsuits Authority. LL.B. holders are moreover qualified to apply for a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) or a Law Diploma in Egypt as well as most universities abroad. The Faculty offers a range of common core courses and electives, which build a solid and comprehensive legal academic foundation. While all Egyptian law courses are taught in Arabic, comparative studies and international law courses are taught in English. Students receive lectures by highly qualified academics in modern and highly equipped lecture halls with a strictly limited number of students, accompanied by small-group tutorials and language courses in Arabic, English and German. Moreover, GUC’s Faculty of Law and Legal Studies is the only law faculty in Egypt offering its students the opportunity to conclude part of its curriculum in Berlin, Germany. GUC Law students may also spend one to two semesters at GUC’s Berlin campus, where students learn more about Germany, while progressing in their LL.B. curriculum in an intercultural learning environment.
In line with GUC’s Education and Research Strategy, the Faculty of Law and Legal Studies offers a wide spectrum of extracurricular activities, such as moot courts, lecture series, excursions, workshops, trainings and seminars in order to provide students with the necessary practical skills and exposure to launch a successful legal career.
